Banc of California Stadium

With extensive amenities and views of downtown Los Angeles, Banc of California Stadium sets a new benchmark for the premium Major League Soccer experience, creating a year-round destination that is active on game days and non-game days alike. A European-style soccer experience gives fans greater intimacy with players, getting them closer to the action. A 22,000-seat stadium for Major League Soccer’s latest expansion team, the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC), anchors the larger complex that includes 37,000 square feet of new development, including a restaurant, food hall, team store, and rentable private party terrace. The project serves as an anchor along the Figueroa Corridor, promoting economic development and revitalizing the community.
The client’s commitment to the true fan was demonstrated in making sure that, amid the spectacle of everything occurring at the facility, the action on the pitch was the driver that created the passion fueling it all. Exclusive supporter zones and a reduced distance from the stands to the pitch will help transform fans from “passengers to participants” on game day.
An emphasis on an exciting game day experience aims to capture a more personal relationship between players and fans by creating an intimate European style character in a state-of-the-art facility. Significant ancillary programmatic elements offer entertainment, retail, and dining opportunities to stadium goers as well as for visitors to the park, the nearby museums and USC campus. For this client group, the goal was always about creating the best fan experience available.
Use beyond game day was of critical importance. Ancillary program elements like a sports museum, club store and extended dining options not currently available in Exposition Park with drive use for sports fans and museum visitors. A conference center and luxury club will cater to executives and the USC community year round.
